I'm starting to like the idea of driving when possible, and chartering a jet when flight is necessary, more and more. I'm sorry to have to hurt the commercial airline business, but I finally decided I was done with the whole thing about a week ago, when TSA agents at LAX decided my 14-year-old niece might be a dangerous terrorist because she was wearing a dress, and pulled her aside for a full pat-down.
The last time I flew to CA I got a hair fetishist. She unbraided my hair and massaged my scalp. That wasn't terribly upsetting (except for flying cross country with my hair in my eyes) but I can only imagine what kind of folks the new pat down appeals to. Pervs will be applying for jobs in droves.
Think I'm driving from here on out. If I need to get out of the country there are some fantastic transatlantic cruises available.
